Infrastructure Ontario (IO) Role in the OLRT Project

Pursuant to City of Ottawa Council direction on July 14, 2011 Infrastructure Ontario has been engaged by the City of Ottawa ("the City") to act as the commercial procurement lead for the Ottawa's Light Rail Transit (OLRT) project.

The procurement process in respect of the OLRT Project will be led by Infrastructure Ontario (IO), and shall conform to City of Ottawa Purchasing By-law 50 of 2000 as amended.

Fairness Commissioner

As the Fairness Commissioner for the Rail Implementation Office OLRT program, we confirm that the procurement processes to date have been conducted in compliance with the principles of openness, fairness and transparency and in a manner consistent with the solicitation documents. Furthermore, we are not aware of any issues that would impair the fairness of this program. Thus, we certify that, in our opinion, the procurement processes to date have been conducted in an open, fair and transparent manner consistent with the City of Ottawa Purchasing By-laws.
