The final phase of the drilling program for the Geotechnical and Hydrogeological Investigation for the Ottawa Light Rail Transit Project (OLRT), which started in March 2011, was completed in late October. Golder Associates Ltd. has started geophysical logging of the borehole samples. Monitoring wells will be installed in some boreholes and the remainder will be decommissioned. The decommissioned geotechnical boreholes will be filled with concrete and the decommissioned environmental boreholes refilled with original materials.
The final Geotechnical Data Report (GDR), detailing the Geotechnical and Hydrogeological Investigation conducted in Phase 3, will be released when all the field data and lab data has been compiled. This report is expected to be publicly available on this website in December 2011.
