How much is this project going to cost?
The Mayor and Council have been clear that the project cost should remain within the $2.1 billion estimate that was put before the previous Council in January 2010 when they voted to move forward with the project.
The City has undertaken a substantial amount of preliminary engineering work since that time and the results indicate that the project will be able to remain within the $2.1 billion estimate. The City will be challenging the private sector to bring forward even more efficiencies and potential savings to ensure that the City is getting maximum value from its investment.
